Liz and Eli on the Move

My last day of school was July 1st and a few days later we hit the road and
avoided the worst of last week’s heat wave by traveling north to New
Hampshire. New England was also experiencing temperatures in the high 90′s,
but I say it’s always better to be staying in a shaded house a few hundred
yards from a lake than sweating it out in a one-bedroom in Brooklyn! Added
bonuses were visits with the Hanover NH Bittingers, long walks through the
woods in the morning while it was still cool and lots of dips in the lake.

I’m loving this year’s world cup. Mainly because there have been so many
dramatic matches but also for the little bits of South African scenery and
culture that occasionally makes it into the coverage. South Africa, and
especially Cape Town, was one of our favorite places we visited on our trip.
