eli tries to relax….

I can’t believe we left the US exactly a year ago today. It feels like a
lifetime ago. Sometimes eli and I torture ourselves by remembering where we
were and what we were doing exactly a year ago. Last December we were in
limbo; staying with the Strongs and trying to sell the van while in the
meantime we tried to get into San Francisco and explore the surrounding area
as much as possible. This picture is of a tacqueria in the Mission in
SanFran that we managed to eat at about six times because we loved it so
much. I love it when an “authentic” Mexican place isn’t too authentic to
offer great vegetarian/vegan options. Next time you’re in SanFran and
craving tacos, head to Papalote, 24th at Valencia!

A freezing morning in Brooklyn.

What a relief. Now I can post some pictures from October that have been
trapped on it, just waiting to get out and online where they belong. Here
is a shot I particularly like, of Lucy under a chair with ball at Karen’s
house, early October. Lucy has grown a lot since then; she’s not fitting
under many chairs these days.
