Gros Morne is the highest peak in Gros Morne park, Newfoundland, Canada. Though just a day hike, we found it very challenging! We saw moose and caribou and got to experience a tundra environment at a lower latitude because of something having to do with elevation (the informative placards say.)

The trip across the St. Lawrence “river” from Baie Comeau to Matane, Quebec, was considerably rougher and way more windy then that trip across the Delaware Bay a few weeks ago.
